July 16, 2007AFI Vids - Live Earth Performance & Interviews
For some reason this works! They play best if you hit play >
then pause = and let the video preload... the performance is a BIG file
(I used a high quality mp4), but it's their complete set.
I uploaded these LAST Saturday (7.7.07), but only two of them show up for you on my site. Hopefully Buzznet will work out their bugs and they'll all show up normally in the vid section soon :-) ~Misery AFI at Live Earth 07.07.07

July 15, 2007My Videos Fell Into A Black Hole Sorry, I'm totally not buying the Buzznet explanation that my videos are fine, didn't fall into a black hole, will appear after a short delay... whatever. They're in a black hole. They got caught in a time vortex. Someone reversed the polarity of the neutron flow when they should have jiggled the button on the thingamy with a lefthanded spanner. I...Don't...Know. My media goes in, hits the event horizon, and blinks out of existence. My being able to see them is simply a cruel tease, keeping me lingering on the edge of hopelessness and despair. I don't do despair well. I get combative, start drinking coffee, and end up in the shower at 3 am with a bottle of "dark auburn" hair dye that should actually be labelled "Just tacky enough to look fake but not exotic enough to look hot". My apologies to everyone trying to access my video collections. While there are still over 700 showing up on my site, people can apparently only access about 200 of them, and clicking on any of the other links sends people to one of those 200, not the one they wanted. Personally, I love David Tennant as much as anyone... but there're only so many times I can watch him introduce the Pussycat Dolls when I'm actually trying to see AFI play Live Earth. I'm still waiting (8 days now) for my Live Earth concert footage to be viewable to anyone, although after 4 days it did let me embed them in a journal and strangely they are (or were, knock wood with crossed fingers while walking under a ladder) watchable that way. Ditto, apologies to anyone trying to view my photo galleries, as the full number of photos is again listing (800 something), but people are only able to get to a couple hundred of those. I'm assuming it's somehow related to the video thing. Please, let it be related to the video thing. If you like AFI or Tiger Army... go look at the new photos I've posted before they disappear into the 8th dimension. I got some lovely pics from photographer Sarah Johnson from AFI at Summerfest and the TA Secret Show last month. (The Summerfest vids and Tiger Army at KROQ are quite nice, too) Really. They ARE there. I can almost promise. hugs and fist-es ~Misery

easier for my friends to find and enjoy them.
I can accept video you've posted online but can edit, format and add titles to your unedited full quality digital recordings (and give you back copies of the finished vids) I won't work with .mov files again, tho, sorry. They don't work with Buzznet's video conversion or my software. Mac's rule. Most footage here is pro or high quality fan recordings... some lower quality footage is included because of request, personal memories, or to fill an important part of the timeline. I replace with better quality recordings as I locate them. I tried to get something from every show on their last tour leg... unfortunately, in a few cases it's poor to painful quality. Still, it was requested by people who cherish it for the memories it brings to mind. (The rest of you will want to turn the sound waay down before hitting "play") It's being cycled out as I found a few okay recordings. I am still working on posting more good to excellent quality vids I have of some of the Euro shows. I'll be adding quality notes on this list as I have time to actually go back and recheck everything (yeah...right) Notes are on most of the individual vids recently added. This is only my AFI collection.
