Thanks to their booking agent I'm going to be able to shoot Time Again and The Casualties at The Vault 350 in Long Beach (unless Greyhound strands me again... knock wood).

 

So because the laws of karma demand balance in my life (HA) I finally scraped together enough money to have my dsl reconnected at home, went through everything to get it paid, had them start the process to hook it back up, then discovered that the kids PC is DEAD. Won't even power up.

 

So no dsl at home, yet. Plus, If I take photos, not only can't I edit them, I can't even download them.

 

Time to buy more memory chips and send the PC in for repairs :

 

This was pretty much simultaneous with finding out at the last minute (yesterday afternoon is pretty much "last minute") that I get to shoot this show, walk home from the library where I was using the computer (and am right now), and discover that my IV port (large piece of titanium implanted on my rib cage under the skin with a catherter running to my heart so I can get heavy duty medications if necessary. Yes, Lyme Disease and Porphyria both suck) had a secret yearning to be free and burst through the skin. So now I look like the Terminator after a fire fight and have various pieces of shiny metal and silicone STICKING OUT OF THE SKIN ON MY RIBCAGE.

 

I put a bandaid over it and am on my way to Greyhound. I'll hit the emergency room on the way home tomorrow...

 

Note to publishers, websites and other music editors: If it doesn't kill me, I get my fqking photos taken. And they're good.

I just dropped over to musicpictures.com to upload some photos and noticed that they've started rotating my images onto the display on the front page of their website.

 

Just about died when I saw my little black and white shot of Nick 13 and Geoff Kresge/Tiger Army.... went back a second later and there were two, of The Adicts and The Koffin Kats.

 

*smiles*

 

 

Crud.. I still can't get onto Myspace from the library. Can someone message a couple friends for me and tell them they can contact me via Buzznet? I keep getting notices in my email when people try to contact me there and it's driving me insane :-(

 

 

edit: and go look at my Koffin Kats photos on DOOM... because...

 

 

I only have a couple minutes because I'm at the library on a timer and want to post a few photos on my other account (PLEASE GO LOOK AT THEM!!!)... my kids deadbeat dad neglected to send child support again this month, and I didn't find out until late Thursday night. So our Internet is shut off, long distance phone off, and several more utilities will be following next week, bank account is overdrawn, no food in the house... I scraped together the last of our cash to buy catfood (several beautiful friendly sweet cats need a loving INDOOR home in California, btw.)

I'm going to try to walk down and check my messages every day the library is open, until we end up homeless or something (then I'll probably be sleeping in the parking lot :)

My budgeting doesn't suck. He's just $20,000.00 behind and we barely scrape by. When he does this to us twice in only a couple months, it hits us like a atom bomb.

Think happy thoughts for us. We need them...
