China's Shaolin monastery demanded a public apology from an Internet blogger for claiming a Japanese Ninja defeated it's monks in combat.

telegraph.co.uk reports, To suggest that a kung fu warrior - and not just any kung fu warrior, but a monk from the monastery which invented the art - could be beaten by a ninja from China’s great foe, Japan, was clearly too much to bear.

While the blogger soon offered an apology, the question lingers, who do you think would triumph in a combat between practitioners of these two legendary martial arts?

While a lot of fighting/characters in the film were patterned after Samurai and ninja (the whole movie is basically based on an old samurai story, I think), The Bride and Bill's characters were taught Kung Fu by a Chinese master... and afaik David Carradine was all about the Chinese kung-fu irl.
